Launch thesis and service model
Defined the Upstate New York launch focus, direct-pay service packages, DEXA, bloodwork collection, VO2/RMR, tracking programs, and early partner-location thesis.
About VitalScan
VitalScan is building a mobile diagnostics company for hosted testing days: DEXA body composition, bloodwork collection, VO2/RMR performance testing, and repeat tracking in the places people already train, recover, and manage their health.

Designed around the scan flow
DEXA runs inside the mobile clinic, while check-in, bloodwork, and performance testing are supported by host-site rooms or enclosed tent setups.
Next milestone
The target is a September 2026 launch for the first hosted testing days. The work now is vehicle buildout, host-location development, Ford/Starcraft cutaway fit planning, indoor VO2/RMR and bloodwork workflows, enclosed tent backup, clinical partner stack, and operating readiness.

Mobile unit
The Ford/Starcraft cutaway platform gives the DEXA scanner, operator station, storage, privacy, power, and HVAC room to work as one mobile clinic.
Build timeline
The first phase has focused on proving the launch path: demand capture, payments, host outreach, operating standards, and the first diagnostics vehicle.
Defined the Upstate New York launch focus, direct-pay service packages, DEXA, bloodwork collection, VO2/RMR, tracking programs, and early partner-location thesis.
Built the ZIP-based booking flow, nationwide demand capture, service selection, bundle logic, Stripe test deposit handoff, and confirmation experience.
Opened the partner-location path, built the host application, modeled partner revenue, and started outreach to gyms, wellness clinics, PT/recovery spaces, and performance centers.
Published testing standards, FAQ, privacy, and terms while shaping the first diagnostics vehicle workflow and visual build direction.
Finish the first diagnostics vehicle, confirm the launch partner stack, and begin the first hosted VitalScan testing days.
Testing flow
The mobile unit anchors DEXA and equipment control. Host-site rooms and enclosed tents support intake, bloodwork, VO2/RMR, and overflow operations.

A host-site arrival station for tablet intake, labels, consent, and visit prep before customers move into testing.

The mobile unit is organized around the Hologic Discovery-style scanner, operator access, privacy, conditioned power, and controlled scan flow.

Private-room or screened host-site collection with qualified staff, labeling, sharps handling, and cold transport.

Bike-based gas exchange testing inside the host gym when space is available, with an enclosed heated tent as backup.
Launch Journal
Progress updates on the vehicle, hosted testing model, customer flow, and September launch target.

May 2026 / Build progress
The first 90 days have been about turning a mobile diagnostics idea into something testable: demand capture, host outreach, paid reservations, and the first operating model.
Current focus: first unit buildout and Upstate New York host pipeline

Target September 2026 / Vehicle buildout
The first VitalScan unit is being planned around the constraint that matters most: fitting a real DEXA workflow into a mobile clinic that still feels clean, calm, and operational.
Build priority: DEXA bay, power, HVAC, storage, and host-site support

April 2026 / Partner model
VitalScan is starting with hosted testing days because the best first markets are not just ZIP codes. They are communities with members, trust, and a reason to care about better health data.
Go-to-market focus: gyms, wellness clinics, recovery spaces, and performance centers
